Kenect Alternative for Car Dealerships
Kenect is a strong texting and reputation platform with real traction across dealers, and for some stores it’s the right call. This page lays out what it’s great at, where Dealer Funnel differs, and how to decide, using only what each vendor says publicly. No mudslinging: you would see through it anyway.
KENECT FACTS: THEIR OWN PUBLIC MATERIALS, ACCESSED AUG 2026
Kenect is texting + reputation
It started in online review generation, and now bills itself as “the AI engine for dealers” across autos, RV, powersports, marine, and equipment: reviews, texting, payments, video, and AI voice, used by 10,000+ dealerships.
Dealer Funnel is built for the car deal
Every feature assumes a rooftop: a deal board with trades and in-stock units, two-way car-CRM sync, a soft phone your reps work calls on, and reporting a desk manager can run the floor on.
So it's really one question
Do you want the platform that owns online reputation and payments across every kind of dealer, or the deepest tool for working the car deal itself? Answer that and the choice mostly makes itself.
What Kenect is great at
Per kenect.com (accessed Aug 2026), Kenect started in online review generation and reputation management over text, monitoring and fixing listings across 80+ sites, and grew into a business-texting platform now branded “the AI engine for dealers,” used by more than 10,000 dealerships across automotive, RV, powersports, marine, and equipment. Reputation is its flagship: a managed team requests reviews by text, replies on your behalf, and even disputes negative Google reviews across Google, DealerRater, Cars.com, CarGurus, and KBB.
Two capabilities are worth naming plainly, because we do not have them: Text-to-Pay and Pay Over Time for collecting payments by text, and one of the deepest DMS integration lists in the category. Reviewers on Capterra (4.6 out of 5) consistently praise its ease of use, its texting reliability, and its onboarding and support. If reputation and payments are your first priorities — or you run more than car dealerships — Kenect belongs on your shortlist, and we would rather say that plainly.
Where Dealer Funnel differs
Dealer Funnel does one industry: the car dealership. Every channel lands in one team inbox, Carly answers new sales leads by text in seconds around the clock, Voice AI picks up the phones, and — the piece we did not find in Kenect’s materials — reps work live calls on a built-in soft phone with 50+ features. Kenect’s voice is an AI agent, weighted to the service lane; ours answers too, but sits next to a phone your people actually dial from.
It goes deeper on the sales deal, as well: a deal board that carries trades, in-stock units, and the figures on every working deal, which Kenect’s public materials do not describe. And the business terms are on the table — pricing published at $1,249 to $2,895 per rooftop per month, month to month with no contract, and a free one-click data export if you ever leave. Kenect publishes no pricing, and its own Terms of Service set a 12-month term that auto-renews.
Side by side, from public materials
These two overlap on texting, reviews, and AI, so plenty of rows are green on both sides. Where Kenect’s public materials do not mention something, we say so instead of guessing.

In the Kenect column, “not publicly listed” means we could not find the capability in their public materials as of Aug 2026. It never means the capability doesn’t exist. In the Dealer Funnel column it simply means we don’t offer it. Vendors evolve; check their site, and tell us if something here is out of date. We’ll keep this honest.

How to decide
Kenect might be the better fit if…
- Online reputation is your first priority. Kenect built its name on review generation and a managed team that replies to and disputes reviews across 80+ sites.
- You want to collect payments by text. Text-to-Pay and Pay Over Time are Kenect products; Dealer Funnel does not touch the money.
- You run more than car dealerships — RV, powersports, marine, or equipment — and want one vendor across all of them.
- You want one of the longest DMS integration lists in the category, spanning many powersports and RV systems.
Dealer Funnel might be the better fit if…
- You want software that only does car dealerships: a deal board with trades and in-stock units, and two-way sync with VinSolutions, eLeads, Tekion, Reynolds, DealerSocket, and ProMax.
- Your reps live on the phone: a built-in soft phone with 50+ features, in the same tab as every text, with Voice AI answering when they cannot.
- You want an AI built to work new sales leads in seconds, not just the service lane.
- You want to see prices before you talk to anyone: $1,249 to $2,895 per rooftop, month to month, where Kenect’s pricing comes through its sales team.
- You want the exit door built in: one-click full data export, free.
